Security for Externally Beaded Double Glazed Units

Ask yourself this question?  Are my windows simply like unlocked doors to a burglar?

If you have internally beaded double glazed windows then the answer is probably no, but if like millions of homes in the UK your windows have been externally glazed then the answer is probably yes.  There are exceptions but to be completely sure you need to have your windows checked.

The problem lies in that the external beading to this type of window is very easy to remove, once this has been done the glazing can be removed silently and reasonably fast by the burglar.

Externally Beaded Window

There are two solutions to this problem.  The first involves removing each unit seperately, using a double sided tape between the glazed unit and the frame, then replacing the unit, resealing it, and then replacing the external beads.  There are problems with making sure the unit fits back square into the frame and having sufficient gap between the glazed unit and the frame for the tape to fit properly.  This can be a time consuming and expensive option.

The second and most favoured option is to fit an innovative 'Secure Glaze Glass Lock'.  This is a simple low cost solution which provides a visual and physical deterrent to would be burglars.  The 'Glass Lock' makes it almost impossible to gain entry without breaking or smashing the glass, it is easier to fit as no glazed unit removal is required, it protects your vulnerable windows, and you do not need ladders or other height access equipment to install it. glasslock_400
The 'Secure Glaze Glass Lock' is secured with a bonding agent which is stronger than the glass itself, the glass will break before the bond is given up.

We fit the innovative 'Secure Glaze Glass Lock' without removing glazed units, without risking the breakage of your units and beading, with no mess and in minimal time.  This saves time, effort and obviously cost together with the additional positive effects on your family and the safer environment that is created.

The 'Secure Glaze Glass Lock' product has Secured by Design approval, it is unique and could save you money on your insurance premium, ask your insurance company about a reduction on your annual premium, go to the No-Go Security website to view the product. page63_sidebar_1

For commercail applications this product is an ideal way to secure buildings without the full cost of replacement frames and or units, we are able to provide competetive bulk installation costs for the product, please contact us for an informal discussion on the way in which we can help you.
